Eurovision 2017 Blog: Day 6

Not long now, people! There are only 4 hours to go until the start of the final Eurovision show this year, and already I am sad that it is coming to an end. I am excited also to not only find out who will win but to also find out where I will be heading to on holiday next year when I travel to the contest next year. There is slight undercurrent feeling that the UK may have done really well in the Jury vote last night, but I still don’t see it as a winner. A Top 10 finish would be perfect though, for us!

Who is going to win this bad boy tonight?

So yeah, not long to go now. Do you already have a favourite? You may remember a couple of months ago when all of the songs had been released that I put together my ranking, and well, things do change. Since seeing the performances and from hearing songs over and over again, my favourites have changed slightly. We predicted in the podcast yesterday where we believe songs would end up, but this, right now, is my personal favourite entries from #10 – #1.

So there has been a lot of changes in my personal rankings, Belgium is my favourite song of this whole entire line-up this year and even though I don’t think it is going to win for them, I am sure it is going to do well. I also hope that it manages to do well on iTunes and Spotify following her performance tonight, as the song sounds very current and modern. We shall see.

Whatever happens tonight, one thing is for sure and that is it is going to be a fantastic show and all of the artists tonight will deliver a fantastic show for your pleasure. I will be at home this time around to watch the show but next year it will be a different case again, the same thing happened two years ago in 2015 when I was watching from home and then the next year went to the contest again. Just a quick request, somewhere warm to go to would be lovely!

There will be one final blog tomorrow, so please stay tuned for that where we look in-depth at the winner and the results. Enjoy tonight and good luck Lucie!
