I haven’t updated my personal blog for some time now so here is another episode to my blogging for you to enjoy.
As you know, it is now definitely autumn once again and the leaves on the trees are all turning brown and orange in colour, and the nights are coming in a lot quicker. It won’t be long before Christmas is here once again. Before Christmas though, there is Halloween, my favourite time of the year. I love when people dress up and there are a lot of themed parties and events throughout the country, all getting everybody spooked up.
Talking of Halloween, later this month on the 28th October I will be going to Thorpe Park to take part in their Fright Night events, I have been wanting to go to this for many years and this year is finally the year. I have even bought myself a little costume to wear, and considering buying some face make-up too to really go all out. Look out for pictures on my social media feeds, it is going to be spook-tacular!
So last month on the 21st September, me and my friend travelled up to London (well, Camden) to go to the Apple Music Festival. My friends won two tickets and I am very honoured that she asked me to go with her, as I have been applying pretty much every year for tickets and have never received any at all. OneRepublic was the band who was playing that night, and they put on a fantastic show. They are currently promoting their new album “Oh My My” which was released yesterday (October 7th) and I am loving their recent work. They performed an array of hit songs, which reminded me of how good they actually are (they have a really good back catalogue) and me and my friend were very lucky to be in the front row too, we got some fantastic views. Check out some of the pictures from the show.
My overtime money came through at the end of September and so it was perfect timing to pick up my new Apple Watch, the series 2 model. Yes, the new Apple Watch was unveiled earlier last month and it really impressed because of the fact it is now waterproof and swim proof up to a depth of 50 metres. This was something that the first model was really lacking, and because I do a lot of swimming, I just had to pick up the new model. In these days, it’s all about trading in and cashing out, as you can now pretty much sell anything electronic wise and get a good figure for it, using that money to be put towards the new model, it’s kind of how the world works right now in the tech industry. I got quite a bit of money back from trading in my first model which went towards the Series 2 model and now I am very happy with my purchase, I go swimming with it all the time at the moment. I love how accurately it picks up my lengths in the pool and also the number of strokes that I do. The new watch is also a lot faster than it’s predecessor, has better battery life and is brighter. All good points in my opinion.
I have also been lucky enough to get two National Trust passes this year from registering for a new bank account, both of which I will use this month. I have already used one when I went to visit Ham House in South West London earlier this month and will also be visiting Bodiam Castle at the end of the month, which is a very beautiful moated castle down in East Sussex. I love photography and using my camera and I have been trying to get some great scenic shots, I managed to take a few at Ham House earlier this month. Here are some of the shots.
On Monday night I will be travelling down to Bournemouth to see the band All Saints live as part of their recent tour. I was a huge fan of the band back in the day and I still am, I absolutely adore their most recent album “Red Flag” and this tour is in support of that. I can’t wait to finally see my idols up close and personal in an intimate venue and also sing my heart out along to some of their biggest hits. I will, of course, let you know how it all goes in a future update as well.
Until next time, enjoy yourselves and come back for more updates soon.
